Nancy's Sudden Death

- Nancy died on Tuesday, February 13, 2007, from injuries suffered in a fall while on vacation with her husband Barrie in Costa Rica. Her friends and colleagues are encouraged to share their memories here with all of us in her honor. Nancy's family wishes to thank you for your kind thoughts and condolences.
Obituary
Nancy Ellen Waxler Morrison, February 11, 1931—February 13, 2007.
Nancy was the daughter of Kenneth and Winifred Waxler of Urbana, Illinois. She grew up in Urbana and graduated from the University of Illinois with the highest honors. She received a PhD. from Radcliffe and was a Researcher at Harvard Medical School for many years. In 1978, she moved to Vancouver to marry Barrie M. Morrison. At that time she became associated with the University of British Columbia from which she retired in 1994. She leaves her husband, Barrie, sister, Mary Carol, step-children Peter, Sara and Doug, and niece and nephew, Leslie and Christopher, and five grandchildren. Nancy loved her family and her home on Pender Island and most of all she couldn’t wait for spring to come to plant her garden and watch things grow.
